PhD McGill, 1993. Currently conducting research on food and regional identity. Theoretical inclinations: post-structuralism, post-colonial literature, post-fundamental philosophy. These winter holidays completing revisions on a volume titled Foodscapes, Foodfields and Identities in Yucatán.  Coordinator of the Academic Body Studies on Practice and Cultural Representations. Fieldwork experience in Sardinia, Italy (1990-1992), in the Highlands of Chiapas (1995-2999), and in urban Yucatán (2000-present).
